When does the first class postage rate go up?

I know the cost to mail a first class letter goes up from 39 cents to 41 cents sometime in May, but I don’t know the date it takes effect. When does the postage rate hike go into effect?

    IT went up on monday 14th

    It already has on May 14th.

    Prices went up on May 14. Price is now 41 cents for a first class stamp.

    It already went up. starting monday the 14th its now 41cents for first class.

    It began on Monday the 14th. Go buy some of the eternity stamps and never worry again. (yeah I wonder how long that will last?)

    the increase in postage went into effect on Monday, May 14th.

    it went into effect on Monday the 14th..they are now 41 cents but you can buy a book of forever stamps for $8.20….

    or if you have a lot of 39 cent stamps….a bunch of 2 cent stamps…

    too bad when I turned 18 stamps were like 29 cents….
